Memorial weekend 2012

Memorial weekend we went to the Omni in Tucson.  We went with some friends from here and it was so much fun. We headed up there on Friday early afternoon and headed home on Sunday.  We were poolside most of the time, BBQ'd, had smores, and a whole lot of drinks!. Hoping to do this again!

Before we headed home, we decided to stop by the zoo. Brody wanted to see the elephants and turtles!

1st movie

We took Brody to see Madagascar 3 on Saturday. It was his first time to see a movie at the theater.  He was so excited to go and kept saying, "movie, popcorn and icee!" We went to the earliest showing (12:35) but when we got there, the lady said it was packed and the only seating was the front row. So we decided to go ahead and buy tickets to the next showing (3:10) and went to eat lunch. We asked Brody what he wanted and he said, "TACO BELL!"

I went stood in line and went in to get seats while Cory and Brody played some games in the lobby.  Finally, it was time for the movie and Brody was stoked to have his popcorn, M&Ms and icee!

 He did really well for the most part but kind of started losing interest towards the end.  We finally left with maybe 15 minutes left in the movie because he peed through his pull-up and left him and Cory wet!

Meeting the Easter bunny

I took Brody to see the Easter bunny on Thursday. I let him take 2 cars and let him hold a quarter because he wanted to ride a tractor close by. I sat him down and he was fine for about 20 seconds, plenty of time for the lady to take a picture. However, she didn't take one and just stood there and then finally went and took the cars and quarters out of his hands!!! Then he started crying! I was so mad and the only way I could get a picture was to sit with him. I have learned that with him I am not going to get perfect pictures and she def. wanted a perfect one but I told her one will do!

Happy Easter! We had a great and relaxing day today! Woke up and played with the gifts the Easter bunny gave Brody, ate breakfast and napped! After Brody woke up from his nap, we hid the eggs and had an Easter egg hunt! Then later we made hotdogs, beans, and deviled eggs!

Egg hunt with friends

Today we had a Easter egg hunt with our playgroup! It was at a park on post and a lot of fun. Brody could not wait to hunt for eggs!
